Foundations in Educational Practice

Our foundational programmes AUT Essentials and AUT Essentials+ are designed to help staff meet the challenges of teaching for the first time whilst enhancing their educational practice. The programmes contextualise teaching and learning at AUT and explore the ways in which our values and priorities inform curriculum design.

Advanced Educational Practice

These sessions are designed to advance educational practice across all experience levels and may particularly appeal to more experienced teaching staff. The sessions are co-designed by colleagues from across the University and altLAB staff, and are organised into four key learning and teaching areas: Assessment, Place-based Teaching, Leading and Scholarship.

Technology Enhanced Educational Practice

These sessions are for staff who wish to discover how technologies can enhance their teaching and support their learners. Participants will consider their own teaching contexts and evaluate how such tools might be applied to their practice.
